We walk for Alex Douglas

April 16th. This is the day graft vs host took my best friend's life. As the one year anniversary approaches of the passing of Alex Douglas, I am participating in the We Walk UHNITED through University Health Network (UHN) in order to fundraise for research to hopefully help others fighting with this disease.

Alex was the kindest person I knew. Through our two and a half year relationship, he supported me, laughed with me, and most importantly taught me what being loved is meant to feel like. Although he is not physically with us, I know he is still guiding me from heaven and will be walking with me on May 31st. 

I miss him everyday, but I know he no longer is suffering which is all I could ask for.
