We are walking to support Princess Margaret, where my feelings of fear and dread were met with kindness and understanding from a team of strong, smart, maternal, confident, inspiring healthcare professionals. They are truly heroes to those who are patients.
Because of UHN, I was able to receive treatment near home, at Credit Valley, but felt reassurance by the partnership they have with PMH, Canada's #1 Cancer Treatment Hospital. I was able to have my final treatment there, with the latest technology and procedures. Although I am now clear of cancer, there is still a need for continued improvements. My treatment was not easy, and there is a tangible difference when resources become available.

Whenever I visit my parents, I go by your old house on Tache and think of you. Even though we haven’t seen each other in decades and I’m the worst person at keeping in touch, know that I care about you. Your resilience is formidable.
