UHN is giving me a second chance at life!
I’m on the waiting list to have a double lung transplant and my journey has been with the United Health Network (UHN), mainly Toronto General Hospital.
All levels of my care team have been prompt, knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to interact with. Despite the size of a hospital I have found my interactions to feel genuine and personal.
I’d like to give back to the hospital that is literally giving me a second chance at life and I would appreciate your donation, even if it’s just a couple dollars it all adds up.
As an honorary mention I would not be able to do this without the tremendous dedication of the pulmonary rehabilitation team at Freeport Hospital. They have given me the confidence and skills needed to do this walk.
The proceeds from We Walk UHNITED will support the most urgent needs of UHN. Your support gives them the flexibility to respond to the increasing demands on our healthcare system, while helping Canada’s #1 hospital accelerate groundbreaking research. It helps UHN to recruit the best and brightest medical minds and equip them with the latest cutting-edge equipment and technology – so they can keep pushing the status quo of healthcare and do what’s never been done.
